Apple Notes import

Bring your Apple Notes into Kajero in one step. Planned, not shipped yet.

Coming

The Apple Notes import is planned for the public launch milestone and is not in the app yet. This page describes the planned behaviour and may change.

Planned behaviour

  • One step. All your notes arrive with their folders and dates.
  • AI review, optional. With a provider connected, Kajero rates every imported note against the rest: current, possibly outdated, superseded by a newer note, or no longer relevant. It also proposes tags and a place for each note.
  • Nothing changes without you. Ratings and proposals arrive as suggestions in a review list. You accept or reject them.

Available today

You can already import a folder of Markdown files, for example an Obsidian vault: Import folder… in the File menu, or kajero import <directory> on the command line. The notes land in a new folder named after the directory. Images that cannot be read are skipped and listed.

Pasting from Apple Notes into the editor turns rich text into the closest blocks. Unknown formatting is dropped, the text is kept.
